We’re honored to share that Travars Built Homes has once again been recognized by Chatham Magazine’s Best of Chatham, earning a 2026 award in the Construction Business/Builder category.
This marks the second consecutive year Travars Built Homes has received Best of Chatham recognition in this category, following our 2025 award.
For a team based in Pittsboro and deeply connected to Chatham County, being recognized by the local community two years in a row means a great deal.
Thank You, Chatham County
Construction Business/Builder

Best of Chatham celebrates the businesses, professionals and organizations valued by people throughout the county. That community connection is what makes this recognition especially meaningful to us.
Every Travars Built home begins with a homeowner trusting us with an important project. Whether they are building on family land, rural acreage or a homesite in a neighborhood, our goal is to provide a hands-on, builder-led experience from early planning through construction and the final walkthrough.
We’re grateful to the homeowners who have chosen to build with us, the neighbors and community members who continue to support our team, and the trade partners and local professionals who help bring each home to life.
Building Custom Homes in Chatham County
Chatham County continues to be at the heart of much of what we do.
Our team works with homeowners to build custom homes on their own land throughout Chatham County and surrounding Central North Carolina communities. Some clients come to us with a floor plan they already love. Others are still deciding what kind of home will work best for their land, lifestyle and long-term plans.
Our role is to help bring those pieces together through customized home designs, detailed planning, transparent pricing, site coordination and hands-on involvement throughout construction.
Receiving Best of Chatham recognition in both 2025 and 2026 is something our entire team is proud of, and we’re thankful for what it represents: the trust of the community where we live and work.
We’re proud to build throughout Chatham County and Central North Carolina, and grateful for the recognition of the craftsmanship, care and hands-on involvement that goes into every Travars Built home.
See what we’re building in Chatham County and beyond.

FAQs
Do I need to attend every building walk if I live outside Chatham, Alamance, or Orange County?
No—while photos and updates help, the framing and pre-drywall walks are the most important to attend in person. Those stages are when layout, ceiling heights, and systems are easiest to understand and adjust. At Travars Built Homes, we help out-of-town clients prioritize the walkthroughs that matter most.
Can construction photos replace on-site visits for homes built around Pittsboro, Chapel Hill, or Hillsborough?
Photos are helpful for tracking progress, but they can’t fully show scale, sightlines, or how spaces connect. Being on site reveals details that are hard to interpret on a screen, especially on wooded or sloped lots common in this area. We use photos to supplement—not replace—clear, in-person conversations.
What if I don’t know what I’m looking at during a construction walk?
That’s completely normal—most homeowners don’t, and that’s okay. Your builder will explain what you’re seeing, what matters at that stage, and what decisions (if any) need attention. Our role is to guide each walk so you leave feeling informed, not overwhelmed.
